The inaugural Moorabool Shire Council Arts and Culture Strategy 2021-2025 guides how Council and the community work together to develop a flourishing creative scene across the Shire. It identifies Council’s areas of focus, directs how it invests its resources and outlines the role it plays.
The Arts and Culture Strategy outlines eight pillars that guide a diverse range of creative activities and opportunities across the Shire.
Increase and diversify arts and cultural activity
Reduce barriers to delivering and participating in creative activities
Nurture the growth of the creative sector
Develop accessible cultural infrastructure
Create moments of joy in everyday life
Connect with our unique heritage and environment
Establish a presence within regional touring networks
Use arts and culture to drive better outcomes for Council and the community.
As the Arts and Culture Strategy 2021-2025 is nearing its completion, it is timely to undertake a comprehensive review to evaluate the outcomes delivered to date and to identify areas where future work can be strengthened. This review will support robust data collection, sector trends and the effectiveness of current initiatives.
A crucial voice in this process is to hear from you, the public about your experiences.
This will assist us to gather high‑quality data, capture diverse perspectives, and ensure that the findings reflect the aspirations and experiences of the wider community.
