Community Grants Program Review

Project Overview

Council is reviewing its Community Grants Program and updating our policy and guidelines. Have Your Say on Council's Community Grants Program. Feedback closes midnight Thursday 24th August 2023.

Council is currently in the process of reviewing and updating its Community Grants Program Policy and Guidelines.

Each year the Moorabool Shire Community Grants Program makes available more than $270,000 for the community. These grants help support groups, organisations and individuals to provide high quality local activities, projects and events.

The Community Grants Program recognises the efforts of community groups, clubs and other not for profit organisations by supporting the delivery of a diverse range of projects, events and other activities that contribute to the wellbeing and quality of life for residents within Moorabool.

The Community Grants Program includes the following current categories for funding:

  • Community Strengthening Grants (up to $5,000)
  • Community Arts and Culture Grants (up to $3,000)
  • Community Events Grants (up to $3,000)
  • Sustainability and Environmental Engagement Grants (up to $3,000)
  • Community Development Fund Grants (up to $100,000)

More details on the current Community Grants Program and suitable projects available under each stream can be found in the Community Grants Guidelines located under the Document Library.

We seek your feedback on the current program to help shape the future of the program.
