Draft Community Grants Program Policy and Guidelines

Project Overview

Council is seeking feedback on its draft Community Grants Policy and supporting Grant Guidelines.

Feedback closes 30 June 2026.

Council is currently in the process of reviewing and updating its Community Grants Program Policy and Guidelines.

Each year the Moorabool Shire Council Community Grants Program makes available more than $280,000 for the community. These grants help support groups, organisations and individuals to provide high quality local activities, projects and events.

The Community Grants Program recognises the efforts of community groups, clubs and other not for profit organisations by supporting the delivery of diverse projects, events and activities that contribute to the wellbeing and quality of life for residents within Moorabool.

The proposed draft guidelines aim to:

  • Increase flexibility and responsiveness, including current funding limits and grant stream types
  • Simplify application processes
  • Align more closely with Council’s strategic priorities

Both the draft Community Grants Policy and Community Grants Guidelines can be viewed under the 'Document Library' side tab.
