Council is pleased to present the draft Economic Development and Visitor Economy strategies for community feedback.
In 2021/22 Council’s Economic Development team undertook extensive consultation to create Moorabool Shire’s new Economic Development Strategy, and a separate Visitor Economy Strategy. The Strategies were identified opportunities to maximise economic, tourism and local jobs potential. Urban Enterprise consultants were appointed to undertake both Strategies in collaboration with Council, ensuring there was robust consultation across business and community.
The Engagement Report summarises the consultation process and the feedback and research gathered that has gone into developing the draft strategies.
Council is seeking feedback on phase 2 of the strategic direction of the 2023-2027 Economic Development and Visitor Economy strategy and encourage all Shire-based businesses (including tourism), the broader community, and key stakeholders to take part. Feedback can be provided via the survey or at one of our engagement sessions.
Community members are encouarged to attend a Drop in Session to provide feedback on the draft strategies. These will be held from 9am to 10am on the following dates at these venues:
Feedback on the draft stategies can also be provided at these up-coming events:
