Maddingley Park Master Plan Review and Precinct Plan Development

FAQ

Council is reviewing planning for Maddingley Park and preparing a broader precinct plan to guide future priorities across Maddingley Park, secondary oval (Siberia), MARC, the vacant land between MARC and Fisken Street, and relevant surrounding connections. The project will consider current use, future community needs, technical evidence, site opportunities and constraints.

The project will produce two related but different planning documents.

Revised Maddingley Park Master Plan

The Revised Master Plan will focus on Maddingley Park and secondary oval (Siberia).

It will be prepared as an addendum to the adopted Maddingley Park Master Plan 2023 and will provide more detailed, site-specific directions and recommendations for these areas.

Maddingley Park and Surrounds Precinct Plan

The Precinct Plan will look at the broader connected precinct, including:

Maddingley Park, secondary oval (Siberia), Moorabool Aquatic and Recreation Centre precinct, vacant land between MARC and Fisken Street and relevant surrounding connections and interfaces.

The Precinct Plan will consider how these places can work together as a coordinated precinct

Anyone with an interest in the area can participate. This includes residents, visitors, sporting clubs, community groups, MARC users, students, families, workers, casual users and people who do not currently use the precinct.
