Rotary Park Precinct Master Plan

Project Overview

The Rotary Park precinct is located in central Bacchus Marsh and includes a skate park, the Andy Arnold Centre, Young Street Kindergarten, a playground, rotunda, and open park space.

Moorabool Shire Council is developing a master plan for the Rotary Park precinct. The final plan will provide a strategic direction for future development and investment in the precinct. In anticipation of the final master plan, a draft concept plan has been developed, this concept plan provides an overview of where a proposed Youth Space and other park elements might be located. We are seeking feedback from the community on this proposed layout.

Consultation Summary

Community consultation was undertaken on a draft Master Plan for the Rotary Park Precinct from April to July 2022. A Master Plan providing a strategic direction for future development and investment in the park precinct and investigation for the inclusion of a youth space for young people.

This information has been prepared to share the community consultation key findings and to communicate the next steps in the development of a master plan for the Rotary Park Precinct with the community.

The summary document can be under 'Document Library' on this page.

About the Master Plan

The Rotary Park Precinct Master Plan will help Moorabool Shire Council to set a vision for the precinct, guiding infrastructure development, future use, and investment.

A key part of this master plan project is to investigate the inclusion of a new Youth Space for young people, Youth Services programs, and events.

The final master plan of the precinct will provide recommendations on:

  • potential funding sources
  • facility locations and opportunities for their development and improvement
  • the connectivity between facilities, buildings, and open recreation areas
  • play space locations and elements
  • passive and recreation opportunities
  • the amount of open space and its future use
  • the provision of toilets and accessible toilets
  • landscaping plans.

How you can get involved

Community Survey

More specifically, the survey will ask:

  • how often you use the precinct and how you get there
  • what you primarily use it for
  • what you would like to see improved
  • which existing activities or facilities you think should not be retained
  • which activities or facilities not currently in Rotary Park you would like to see provided
  • which element of Rotary Park you think should be a priority for future funding and development.
